Two...still continues

Everyone had started to move to their respective hostel rooms. We contacted each possible girl of our batch to get to know about our new juniors. Evenings were spend on planning about the introductory sessions while nights for the implementation of the plans. We tried every possible way to piss off and harass the juniors. I even joined the most ill-reputed group to actively participate in the introductory phase. Rimsha had warned me to abandon the group but I never gave it a damn. Girls were given weirdest tasks to perform while boys… not to mention. We literally use to make some of them shit in their pants.
One night during the introductory session, I coincidently took my cell out just to have a check. I noticed seventeen missed calls from Rimsha. I smelled something was surely wrong. I was about to dial her number and suddenly I saw her incoming call. By taking God’s name I picked her call.

“What the fuck are you all doing? Stop it… you don’t know you all are now in trouble.” She said in harsh tone.

“Rimz …just hold our tongue.” I said angrily.

“Listen Vyom; just leave that room RIGHT NOW. Heard what I said…RIGHT NOW”. She was much firm now.

“But...Why?”

“I told you earlier to walk out that group. I’m skeptical that a complain has been filed against the group. As you are not so popular, the authorities will never think of you.” She said

“COMPLAIN?” I screamed. “Wha…what are you saying?” I asked in shock

“Now please don’t yell it out”. She said and disconnected the phone.

Disconnecting the line in the mid of the conversation was the most disgusting habit of Rimsha. And this ever hatred habit has always pissed me off. After the phone call I was literally shivering and shitting in my pants. My head was spinning. In one year I managed to earn hell lot of name and fame (Of course, not in a sarcastic manner) in this NLU. I can’t ever afford to get a black dot on it. I decided not to join the group and sprinted towards my room.
                                    --------*-----------*---------
Tanay and I were seated in the reading room of the library. Tushara came and joined us. Tushara always used to be glued to Tanay. It was only during the class hours when Tushara and Tanay were separated and the only reason was because Tushara’s major was different than ours. At evening most of the guys generally geared up to the library not for reading but for girl-searching. Tanay and I were discussing about the preparation of the memorial for the forthcoming moots.  At that very time Safal Narang…one of the members of ‘that’ group came to me.

‘Hey! Where you went dude? Your chic called!’ he said and gave me a horrible smile.

‘No, it was something personal. So, any more sessions tonight?’  I placed a wicked smile.

I saw Rimsha and Prakriti coming towards us. They were really God’s sent. Rimsha and Safal or let’s say the whole group never had good terms. Reason was Rimsha’s popularity and position. She shared the top rank with me and was everyone’s favorite.

‘Hey! Safal, what’s up? Lots of booze nowadays!’ She said sarcastically

‘Why is it bothering you? You want to join…come baby, we will enjoy!’ Safal said gripping Rimsha’s hand tightly.

Now this conversation was not moving on a right track. I was about to stand but Tanay and Prakriti stopped me. We all were well aware that Rimsha was capable to lock up the situation.

‘Oh! I would love to come, WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS.I HAVE A LONG-LIST OF ALL OF THEM.I PROMISE...U WILL ENJOY THE GANG RAPE.WHAT SAY, SAFAL?’

Safal’s mouth was zipped. He turned almost blue. He would have never thought of such a reply from a ‘girl’ who was famous as a ‘book-worm’ (mind it…she wasn’t a nerd).

“You know that you are going rough…” Safal roared.

“Ohh…I bet your ass, Safal Narang, that it’s really rough.”

He turned to leave but Rimsha had already gained her impulsion. She was uncontrollable. She continued, “Listen Asshole! Just keep your dogshit attitude away from me. You know I can’t bear these, else I’ll make you more miserable.”

We all were stunned seeing her. The messer had become a messee. My cell phone beeped. New message from Tanay which said,” yaar! How do you handle her????” I replied, “Vyom is PERFECT!!! And nothing is impossible for the one who is perfect.”
                                       --------*--------*-------
We were sitting at the lake side. This place is the most romantic place in our institution and for certain ‘obvious’ and ‘natural’ reasons was meant for couples.  Tanay and Tushara were regular visitors. I had begged Rimsha to come with me just for once. It was never a problem for her because whenever and wherever we went it was very clear to others that we were ‘Just Best Friends’. With Rimsha it was like-“I chased love and I found true friendship”. I still remember her best reply for denying my proposal. She had said,"Vyom, I like you a lot…but only as my friend. Love is something which gives pain and I can’t see you in pain. "

‘So why are WE here?’ she asked turning the pages of Environmental Law book. Lake side was the most fanciful place. Cool breeze use to make the environment more soothing. But Rimsha was of course way away from all those emotions.  She was going through some important sections which were taught in class.

‘Just like that. I have never been to this place before’. I gave a fake reply.

She narrowed her big eyes and gave me a ‘DO NOT LIE’ look.

‘Ass!’ she said.

‘Okay…I have never come here with a girl. Fine. Happy now.’ I said irritably.

‘You will get your girl…Kiddo…don’t worry…Do you need my help?’ She said patting my back.

‘How often do you come here?’ I asked her.

‘Quite often and with GIRLS’. She said laughingly.

Her fingers clutched mine. She whispered. “Don’t worry, I'm always with you and I’ll be there for you, like always I’ve been before.”

'Last part…I’ve heard somewhere'. I said while trying to recall that line.

As I reached my room I got a text from Rimsha. I read it and my face just smiled. She wrote.” It doesn’t matters if m not Ur lover. Sometimes great stories continue just being friendsJ”.
I wrote back- ‘dat was a forwarded msg’.

Her reply came as ‘Chal na. I re-phrased it.’

next update...after some days :)
