four...sttill...continues

I returned back and saw Upasana with same confused expression. I asked,” what have you decided?”

She spoke shrugging her shoulders, “I don’t know…you please suggest.”

“You want me to choose. Upasana, I think you were the one who was hungry.”

All of sudden she got up, grasped my hand and said, “let’s go to the games section, it’s so dull here.”

Now this was a straight insult to me. This was type of my first official date and the girl was bored in my company. I felt so low. The color of my face faded away. I then realized that it’s better sometimes to chit-chat with a girl on facebook or over phone. Otherwise they won’t lose a chance to make you feel an ultimate stupid. They are so unpredictable. I took this as a personal insult. But then I consoled myself as in experienced guy about this matter.
I nodded in consent and went to the games section and by God’s grace the princess smiled delightfully at my company. One the way to the college I gave her a box full of Hachez chocolates and getting that she jumped like an innocent child. Her eyes sparkled with joy. I then ignited the conversation.

“So, I think you didn’t enjoy so much with me. You got bored in my company.” I said with gravity.

“No, Vyom. I did enjoy with you. Why are you saying like this? You made feel so good and special.”

“Really, I don’t feel like that. Just tell me, how much did you talk to me, you were all busy with yourself.” My tone was gradually becoming harsh.

“You know…that’s the problem with me. Everyone gets me wrong. I take pretty long time to mix up with people. I’m very lame to start a conversation and carry it interestingly. I’m sorry Vyom, if you are hurt. I never meant like that.” She said and her eyes got welled up. Suddenly tears rolled down her pink cheeks. She turned her face on the other side and started wiping her tears. And these all things made me feel guilty. How can I make her cry? I was supposed to turn her evening from blue to pink. She must have expected a lot more good and fun things from me. But I had let her down. I chided myself for such an ass-ish and imperfect behavior. I was trying hard to figure out an idea to lighten up the atmosphere. And next moment by God’s grace it clicked.

“C’mon Sana, oh…sorry I mean Upasana.” I took a pause.

She turned towards me with a smile. “It sounds good. You can call me by that. I’ll love it.” She said smiling.

Now this was something I wanted. I had made a hit. I was gaining my sharpness. I continued. “Sana…I was just kidding. You must be surprised to know that you are the first girl with whom I felt so nice to come along. And I really mean it. I felt so awesome when you asked me for out. I really had an awesome and wonderful time with you. Please don’t cry…”

“Seriously…do you mean by that?” She asked making a puppy face.

“Of course, I do, sweetie”. I said seeing which way the wind was blowing. She was already enjoying my flirtatious behavior. My humbleness and decency had high chances to win over her down-heartedness. I have always noticed that girls adore decent boys. Remember, boys should never act meek. Their behavior and attitude wins when it is escorted by decency and wittiness.

“Oh…well sorry for that sweetie part.” I said playfully to amuse her.

I saw her blushes. It added more to my confidence. I knew that the situation was now under my feet. I was about to throw another card but she said in between ,“you mean, you have been out with many other girls but only I made you feel good?” Now this question was a tricky one and I had to answer it cleverly. I was trying hard to come up with a convincible answer but after a pause she continued, “Not even Rimsha, for that good and awesome part I’m asking…nothing else.”

“Rimsha…err…she is just a friend. I don’t like her as such. She just remains hooked up with me for grabbing attention. That’s just her sheer stupidity. Nothing else” I said.
She nodded and I continued, “hey…now don’t tell you think that something is there between us and she is my girlfriend.”
She smiled and answered, “You both remain together all the time. And that’s why I thought like that. At the beginning, when I joined it was surprising to see Rimsha into a relationship because it’s simply opposite to her no relationship-no tension theory.

“You know Rimsha beforehand?” I asked in shock.

“Yeah! Don’t you know…she is my school senior? When I got that task, it was really hard to find out your name and the other details…don’t know why? But it was actually difficult for me. But then I went to Rimsha.”

It then clicked my mind that both were from Kolkata and there were huge possibility that they were known to each other.

“She is very sweet to everyone. She helped me with the task.” She brought out this secret. And the moment she realized that she had spoken which she wasn’t supposed to, she insisted me not to tell this to anyone. I felt the need to come back.

I placed my palm on her and said, “Sana…you are really special to me. And always remember…when you are with Vyom you are absolutely safe.” And next thing whatever happened was beyond my expectations. If, you people are thinking that we kissed each other, so let me make it clear that nothing sort of happened. To bring an end to such enthralling time the auto reached its destination, that is, our college. We got down from auto and were quietly moving on the footpaths holding each other’s hand. Yeah!! This thing was new and I was mesmerizing it. When I was about to move to my hostel she held my hand, dragged me towards her and placed a kiss on my cheek and whispered in my ears, “Thanks Vyom, for this evening. I really had such a great time with you. I’ll always mesmerize this and hope the same for you. Bye and hope you’ll surely have a sweet dream.” Saying this she went away without giving me any time to react.

So, Magneto or ….”  I asked.

“Magneto” she said cutting me in between the conversation.

Bhaiyya, Magneto chaliye.” I said to the auto driver.

As we headed towards the mall, I felt sickness in stomach. I prayed God not to play with me, at least today. The auto driver played the song ‘Chamak Challo’.  I felt like I was dreaming.  It was beyond my imagination that I was actually sitting beside Upasana and was going with her. But suddenly I saw her wiping her tears.
“You okay?” I asked her concernedly.

“I feel so lonely Vyom, it’s my baby’s birthday but he is not in this world’. She said and started sobbing.

Baby’! Now what the hell was this? Girls can say baby to anyone. I bet you… for them the elasticity of usage of this term is infinite. Many times it becomes pretty tough to figure out to whom are they addressing this term.  And I got much more tensed and confused as she used ‘he’ in between the lines she spoke.

“Upasana, why are you crying? Is everything okay?” I asked.

“I’m missing by baby”. She answered in a cracking voice.

“Baby?” I asked being skeptical.

“Yeah. My baby! My lovely baby! My pet!” she flashed out its photo from her purse. And seeing it I was so relieved. Oh Bliss!! But thinking about the situation I too joined her tone.

“Ohh!! It’s so cute! Look at her eyes, just like…” I was speaking but she interrupted me saying, “Not her…his eyes. Tell me Vyom, doesn’t the eyes looks like diamond. And his tail.”

‘Tail’…I looked at the tail thoroughly but didn’t find anything unique about it. Its tail was also bending like others. But I decided to speak very concernedly and carefully.

“You miss him a lot.” I commented.

“You can’t imagine Vyom, how much do I miss him?” she said and continued, “Don’t
you want to know his name?”

I was least interested in knowing this creatures name but I asked. “Of course Upasana… it’s your pet, I know he will be having a cute name.”

“I named him Buzo”.

“BHUZO?” I asked confusingly as I was hearing such name for the first time.

“Not Bhuzo…BUZO”, She corrected me.

Seeing her so much possessive about her pet name I immediately said “wow!!! Such a cute name. It matches him so well.”

“Yeah, I know that. And thanks Vyom, thank you so much for coming with me. I was feeling so low.” She said holding my palm and clutching her fingers in between mine. I felt like heaven. I was on seventh sky.

“Don’t worry, I won’t get you bored.” I assured.

We exchanged smiles. During our way to the mall we talked about our interests, how she landed up with this institution, our families and many other things. In between these conversations I checked my pocket which I had flooded with enough cash.

After reaching there I asked. “So shall we watch some movie?”

“No, Vyom, we’ll get late and I don’t want to get any more show cause notice from the hostel warden.”

“So, is it true that you really got any such notice?”

“Yeah, and no more questions about it. I know the chapter has been closed and I’m not in writing any new one or revising the same”.

‘Upasana’…I voiced as I saw her talking to some of her friends. They all waved their hands to me and I smiled back. They were all like bubblegum having loads of fun. Upasana came towards me. I gaped her sophisticated style of walking.

“What? Why are you yelling?” She said disgustingly.

“What will we do here? See this movie is for only one and half hour, hope it will be a good time pass.” I said showing her the name of an unpopular movie. For me the span and the theme of movie was not an issue. Such movies never catches audience and the hall remains just next to vacant…and what happens next…we all are quite smart to intuit. But entering the hall brought a wave of disappointment in me. The hall was nearly choked by couples.
We were about to take our seat when Upasana mocked, “But I’m hungry”. When she said this, logically I was supposed to get angry at her but she had said this with a puppy like face and that moment she looked so adorable and kissable.

“Oh…so sorry, I never thought that…I’ll get some refreshments. You wait here and feel comfortable.” I said. But before going out I asked her for her preferences. I intentionally had booked three corner tickets in a series. During the movie I noticed Upasana least interested in movie. She was busy in some kind of message chat. I tried hard to read the person’s name but failed to do so.

“So how was the movie?” I asked.

“Umm…it was good and good because you were with Me.” she said smiling.

“Vyom…see KFC…wow…let’s go there.” She said excitedly like a kid.
“Are you really hungry? Upasana, I think we can spend our time more nicely then wasting at KFC”.

“Oh…so if I go to KFC, YOUR TIME WILL BE WASTED. GLAD TO HEAR THAT MR.VYOM MALHOTRA.”

“I never meant that…okay!!! As you wish.” I said and headed towards KFC. It was simply unbelievable for me that Upasana was actually ruling my life. I was giving her so much importance that I almost ignored my own interest. But still I allowed myself to let this happen as I was falling for her.

We took our seats and I continued to gaze her beauty, to feel the depth of her eyes, her flawless skin got me vibes, her beautiful lips held my heartbeats and her elegance was succeeding in taking away my heart.

She turned and tossed the menu with her beautifully shaped long-fingers. And with a puzzled expression she asked, “Vyom, I can’t decide what to order...Do you want anything?” I was about to answer but got disrupted by a phone call. I chose to skip that call but saw it was the incoming call from Rimsha. I thought in my mind, “God! Why can’t this girl just leave me alone for a second?” I said to Upasana, “Let me get rid of this.” and moved out to pick the call.

“Hello” I said but was interrupted by Rimsha, as expected.

“Where the hell are you, Ass, you promised me for a dinner…remember”.

O-M-G…Rimsha…hell with you…you are disturbing me for this shit reason”. I spoke irritably.

“Shit reason…Haww, Vyom, how mean of you”. She said in her usual cute way.

“But I never promised for tonight”. I said to defend myself.

“Just cut the crap and tell me where on this earth, are you now?”

“Rimz… I’m with Sana…I mean Upasana”. I said shyly.

“Sana…hmm…you just return and meet me. I’ll drill and kick your butts.” She said groggily.

‘Rimz…please stop this…at least for now. I need to hang up, bye.” I said and disconnected the call.
